Written and directed by Eric McCarty and produced by Andrew Johnson, the short film is nominated in the Text of the Year: Humorous TV/Web Capsule or Sketch category at the 23rd edition of the Gala Les Olivier.
Produced in collaboration with Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, The Girl Next Door is a heartwarming short film that shows how finding love was still possible during the pandemic, even while confined at home. Featuring Alex Lapointe and Kathy Marquis, the film draws inspiration from Taylor Swift’s famous You Belong with Me music video.
The short film generated strong results on Facebook, with more than 615,000 minutes of watch time, 494,600 views, and over 19,000 engagements.
