A nomination for Dreww at the Gala des Oliviers with “The Girl Next Door”

Montreal, February 17th 2022 – Dreww is proud to announce the nomination of Eric McCarty and Alex Lapointe at the Gala des Oliviers with our branded short film: The Girl Next Door, launched last year on Valentine’s Day. 

The short film written and directed by Eric McCarty and produced by Andrew Johnson is nominated in the category Text of the Year: Humorous TV/Web Capsule or Sketch at this 23rd edition of the Gala des Oliviers. 

The heartwarming short film, produced in collaboration with Fireball, showcases that it is indeed possible to find love in times of pandemic while being confined to one’s home. The short film features Alex Lapointe and Kathy Marquis and draws its inspiration from the famous music video “You belong with me” by Taylor Swift. 

The short film has garnered over 615,000 minutes of watch time, 494,600 views and more than 19,000 engagements on Facebook.
