The pandemic has affected many businesses negatively, but for Cook it, the demand for delicious, pre-portioned meals at an affordable price delivered directly to your home has skyrocketed. A couple of weeks after the first lockdown of March 2020 in Quebec, Cook it’s monthly subscribers tripled. The Montreal-based company went from 200 to 500 employees in less than a month, and now employs over 700 people, due to an increase in demand from consumers looking for a hassle-free alternatives.
With the pandemic slowly dissipating in Quebec, and Cook it’s operations stabilized from hyper-growth, the team at Cook it is now ready to solidify their position in the Quebec market as the leader in the meal delivery category, with a Quebec-wide television and online advertising campaign.
The Cook it team has entrusted Dreww Studio, the production division of Dreww, a full-service advertising agency and multidisciplinary production studio founded by Andrew Johnson, to bring their creative vision to life. Dreww has secured award-winning director Louis-David Jutras to direct the campaign and Jean-Charles Myrand as the director of photography, a duo that has been working together under Dreww Studio for months now bringing film projects to life for various clients. Louis-David’s most recent project under the Dreww banner “Fack c’est ça” generated 1 million views on Facebook.
